Chunky ginger biscuits

preheat the oven to 180C
grease a baking tray
150 g flour
1.5 tsp baking powder
100 g soft brown sugar
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp mace
mix the dry ingredients together
50 g butter
1 tbsp black treacle
warm the treacle and butter in a pan until the butter just melts
mix the butter and treacle with the dry ingredients
1 egg
mix in the egg
shape into walnut size balls
put them 10cm apart on the baking tray
cook for 15 minutes
